“Three Lu” refers to Lu Can, Lu Cai and the nephew Lu Yanzhi. They lived in Chang Zhou of Jiang Su Province in the middle and later period of Ming Dynasty. They all have achievements in the field of classical fantasy novel, whose representatives are《Gengsibian》.《Yechengkelun》.《Shuoting》and so on. These novels are famous all over the world.The paper begins from condition of their frends-make, regards their novels as the main research object, and also combines with the literature tradition and local customs of Wu Zhong region, and analyses and explains their works. In the end, by comparing their works, we acknowledge the trend of classical novels in the middle and later stage of Ming Dynasty, to restore the status of the three men.This paper can be divided into five chapters. The first chapter sorts out the anecdotes of the three men,and at the same time attempts to describe the cultural tradition and the friendship condition with scholars in Wu Zhong. From 2 to 4 chapters, this paper analyses contents and art features of “Three Lu” in different perspectives. The fifth chapter makes comparison between their works from the themes and the art styles. Finally, I summarise their creation achievements and the influences on the young generation and evaluate their status in the field of novel.
