A Study Of British Romantic Literary Theory From The Perspective Of Aesthetic Modernity

The aesthetics modernity sight as the point of the inspection,study of Literary Theory of romanticism,through the characteristic of romanticism.Romanticism,as a new literature trend after Enlightenment,it has some cross-age meaning.At the 18th century,western society was in the Enlightenment Movement,everyone believed in rationality,the society was control by the theory of rationality.And then,Romanticism broke this situation.This article analyzes the literary theory of romanticism from the aesthetics modernity in this period,then discuss it how to resistance and surpass the modernity in aesthetic angle.The full text is divided into three chapters,starting from the essence of literature,the writers of literature and the process of literature,state the characteristic of romanticism,and how does it criticize the modernity. At last,the article makes a point that there is a concept of aesthetic utopia in literary theory of romanticism.The value and meaning are also discussed,affirm the contribution of romanticism for the literature development.It hope to cause people to pay attention to romanticism again.
