Under the big background of economic globalization, the rapid development of cultural industry, in many countries to rise to a strategic level. Cultural industry has become a new economic growth point of contemporary society, there was a positive correlation with economic industry. The unbalanced economic development in our country, affected by cultural industry, also shows a tendency of unbalanced regional development. The task of the cultural industry development of our country is under the condition of market economy, efforts to promote the competitiveness of the cultural industry of our country.This paper discusses the connotation of cultural industry and its competitiveness, industrial competitiveness related theory and the thought of marxist classical writers, draw lessons from porter defined competition, combined with the actual situation in our country, analysis of China’s cultural industry competitiveness, build the formation of China’s cultural industry competitiveness evaluation index system. Using the factor analysis method to the competitiveness of cultural industry made empirical analysis on the regional difference. According to the analysis of 31 provinces and cities in our country culture industry competitiveness strength can be divided into strong competition, the strong competition, the weaker competition and weak competition four classes. Through the analysis of unbalanced regional development problems of cultural industry in China, the eastern region culture industry competitiveness is stronger, the central and western cultural industry competitiveness is weak, the development of relatively back ward. Through analysis, for regional differences, depending on the region of East, Central and West itself has the advantage of developing strategies to enhance differentiation. From our holistic approach put forward the overall development strategy.
