Since modern times, the study of subjectivity problem has always been one of the hottestissues of academic circles. However, due to the fact that the traditional philosophy ofsubjectivity implied way of thinking as subject-object binary opposition and the position of theanthropocentrism, subjectivity philosophy was deep in crisis. Then inter-subjectivity theoryarose at the historic moment. Although the inter-subjectivity theory emerged in the crisis of thesubjective philosophy, but it did not mean that the inter-subjective philosophy was the completedenial of subjective philosophy, and it did not mean that they were mutually exclusive.Inter-subjective theory is the transcendence and development of the philosophy of subjectivity. From a practical point of view, any philosophical theory is proposed in order to guide thepractice of human better, and to promote the prosperity and development of human society.Philosophy of subjectivity and inter-subjective theory unite in the historical process of buildinga harmonious society dialectically. From the ancient time, human began the pursuit of harmony. Initially,, the pursuit ofharmony was limited to natural areas, and then human began to pursue the harmony of society. In China, the pursuit of a harmonious society has a long history. The traditional thinking ofDatong society was actually a harmonious society. Not until the sixteenth Chinese CommunistParty Fourth Plenary formally proposed the proposition ‘building a socialist harmonious society’,the harmonious society clearly became the pursuit of the vast majority of Chinese people. However, a harmonious society is an all-round developing society, involving political, economic, cultural, social, and ecological aspects, so moral realm of harmony is its integral part.To achieve harmony in the field of ethics is a complex system. And the starting point of thissystem is to achieve harmony between the moral subjects. To build harmony between the moral subjects, the first thing is to theoretically clarifywhich factors can cause the disharmony between the moral subjects.Secondly, from the point ofpractice, we should understand the relationship between moral subjects in China.Only in thiscase, can we promote harmony between moral subjects more effectively. In theory, the realization of the harmony between moral subjects is influenced by manyfactors. These factors can be classified into three categories. One is the subjects of moralthemselves.Second is the moral object, at last is other factors beyond the moral activity. Fromthe moral subject’s own point of view, different moral subjects often have different needs anddifferent interests, which can easily lead to discord between the moral subjects. In addition, moral awareness, moral emotions and moral ethics activities of different subjects can will alsohave a positive or negative impact on the harmony between moral subjects. From the moralobject’s point of view, different moral systems, and even in the same moral system, havedifferent requirements. This will to some extent affect the harmony between moralsubjects. Finally, from the outside factors of moral activities, there are many factors which willaffect the harmony between moral subject, such as political factors, economic factors, culturalfactors, and social factors. All of them can affect the harmony between moral subjects. In practical terms, at this moment in China, the disharmony between different moralsubjects performs in many aspects. Starting from the perspective of the moral subject, thoseimbalances can be divided into three aspects: the disharmony between individual moral subjects, the disharmony between group moral subjects, and the disharmony between group moralsubjects and individual moral subjects. These three aspects in real life have different degrees ofexpression form. The disharmony of individual moral subjects mainly performs as the imbalanceof one’s body and mind, and performs as the discordant of one with another. For group moralsubjects, different positions and interests of small groups of this or that can also cause thedisharmony. There are also larger groups, including the Nation as a group moralsubject, conflicting with other larger groups on some problems. Now, in China, the disharmonybetween individuals and groups mainly happens between individual citizen and governmentgroups, especially when some leaders as the mouthpiece of the government do some harm tothe rights of individual citizens.Based on the analysis above, to build the harmony between moral subjects, we first need tobuild a harmonious ethical order society.Only when the environment of the whole society isharmonious, it is possible to build the harmony between moral subjects.Second, respectivelyfrom the angle of the moral subject and the moral object. We should express the subjectivity ofthe moral subject, and at the same time pay attention to the adverse effects of the moralobject, especially the influence of moral system and moral rules. We must start from the basichuman nature, to justice, not blindly advocating the interests of the individual citizensunconditional submit to the collective interests. Finally, we should establish a harmonious moraloperation mechanism, to ensure the realization of harmony between moral subjects.
