Today in the 21 st century, the continuous development of science and technology bring great changes to human life, science and technology have changed human life, enabling the human to enjoy the wonder of life. However, science and technology also make the human feel very annoying. The application of these technologies such as computer information technology, artificial intelligence robotics and transgenic biological genetic technology brings convenience for human life, but also causes some conflicts with traditional ethics. As mentioned in “Central First Document” issued by the State Council of China in 2015 – Several Opinions on Deepening the Reform and Innovation and Accelerating the Construction of Agricultural Modernization, the country first emphasizes to strengthen the science popularization about transgenic knowledge, so as to make the correct and scientific knowledge about trans-gene acknowledged and discussed by Chinese consumers, and make the Chinese consumers have the right to know and choose trans-gene foodstuff. Therefore, under the background of the conflict between science & technology and traditional ethics, this paper starts from the security of trans-gene foodstuff, explores the influence of trans-gene foodstuff on human health and ecological environment. The popularity of trans-gene foodstuff once eased the food crisis puzzling human, and some problems about health care also began to get the breakthrough. However, just as the saying goes: “this is that, that is this, it is right here, it is wrong there”, the ethical issues brought by the uncertainty for the security of transgene foodstuff also make the human have to think seriously, for example whether trans-gene foodstuff would bring health risk to the human, bring irreparable injury to the natural environment, bring the harm of human-oriented right to special group. Therefore, the development of trans-gene foodstuff should get out of the current ethical dilemma, and must solve these basic ethical issues. Given the special national conditions of China, the human population is on the increase, and the cultivated land area is on the decrease, the traditional agricultural way could not meet the food demand of Chinese people, if the trans-gene foodstuff could not developed in time, it is likely to cause more food imports for China, and then China would be at a disadvantage in international trade, with the serious influence on China’s image and society’s harmonious and stable development. Given this, it must make greater efforts to analyze the security issues and ethics problems encountered when developing the trans-gene foodstuff, find out the equilibrium point for the conflict between the security and the ethics about trans-gene, and put forward the constructive suggestions for the development of trans-gene foodstuff in China.
