In accordance with the Myanmar government’s economic reforming and opening, the trade exchange between China and Myanmar has been increased enormously, at the same time the understanding the Chinese language is also becoming very important, and therefore, to learn Chinese (mandarin) is also becoming popular not only among the Myanmar born Chinese but also among the local people.Taunggyi, the capital of Southern Shan State in northern Myanmar is not an exception, Chinese teaching of Taunggyi is early in the trendy period of "Chinese fever", and the Chinese Language Teaching has been successfully founded by the joint effort between local Chinese and the auspices of the Taiwan authorities.Nowadays, The small dispersed home tuition are becoming to be a large school system, although the school has not been gotten the premise of Chinese government licenses, but the Chinese and school officers are trying to spread this kind of education so that Chinese schools can still alive.Therefore, in this research paper, the condition and situation of Chinese schools in Taunggyi has been studied by taking data of this area by using questionnaires and interviews. I hope that through the survey results, a comprehensive understanding of the chinese school teaching and problem in Taunggyi,we want to develop chinese teaching in Taunggyi and provide some reference to total enlightenment.Survey results of this study is limited according to the information provided by the subject of the investigations, it has been issued 106 questionnaires for teachers in three school, and received back all the 106 copies, as for student questionnaires, it has been issued 200 copies, but just received back 135 copies of valid questionnaires. The questionnaire which collected from three Chinese language schools include the classes and time schedule information in Taunggyi, this subject results only for the period of the second semester of academic year 2014.In this study, Taunggyi Xinghua school,Taunggyi Donghua school and Taunggyi Guowen school have been researched, the results for the three major of Chinese Primary School (five and six grade) and middle school(one,two,three grade), combined with these three school of managers, teachers and student’s interviews, questionnaires and access to research data as a reference, and then investigate the basic status of three chinese schools, investigate the basic situation of student of three Chinese schools, the basic situation of teachers, teaching materials usage, curriculum and management systems, etc., to propose a solution with their own views according to the findings of this paper results. Hope Taunggyi Chinese schools will have more opportunities to get the international spread of Chinese language, to get more concerned by researchers and academic-related organization, and the prospect of future development of Chinese language teaching in Taunggyi, this study also pointed out thedeficiencies and limitations.
