The Spread Of The Main Social Thoughts In The May 4th Movement And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

The May 4th period is one of the greatest time in Chinese history. It’s during the transformation period in Chinese history. Influenced by the New Culture Movement, the national get a great liberation. All kinds of thoughts from the west come into China and make a great influence. Finally, the Marxism occupies the main position in Chinese social ideology. Therefore, the study and the analysis about the trends of social thought during the May 4th period, can make us know about that the new thoughts in the New Culture Movement making much influence to Chinese society clearly. The influence takes a revelation role to the health development of Chinese socialism career which is guided by Marxism today.The paper is based on the analysis of the development of all kinds of the social thoughts during the May 4th period and according to master the development of the social law, especially, the forming process of the mainstream about the Marxism. Contacting with today’s social consciousness, we should put forward some feasible suggestions and countermeasure for the development of Chinese society. This paper is divided into three parts to discuss.The first part, I put forward personal opinions about the time range of the May 4th period which is debated all the time. Making the time range clearly in this paper to judge it’s position and function to Chinese modern ideological history. At the same time, according to the judgement about the May 4th period by Chinese Communists Party, it leads to development of various the trends of social thoughts in that time.The second part, I list four representative thoughts during the May 4th period, My purpose is to summarize the lineage and the influence what are alien to China. And I also analyse the thoughts from it’s representative people, especially the transmissions and the influence about Marxism in China.The third part, I offer the important suggestions about thought culture in China today according to the analysis of the four representative thoughts during the May 4th period. Firstly, the two cue in a-key-turning developing time of China. Various thoughts influenced and rejected by each other. Secondly, intellectuals act as the communication link between them. Under the historical condition, it’s very important for the intellectuals how to do their jobs. Thirdly, with rapid development of science and technology today, the media change so rapidly. It’s a important question for us how to control the media to study Marxism and how to play a role when they publicize the Marxism. These questions are the new challenge for people. Finally, the forming process of the mainstream of Marxism is one of the most important developing process of the Chinese Communist Party. The key for the development of China is for the Chinese Communist Party how to control leadership at present.
