Canal Ballad and Sight bright as the stars are the two arias from the second actin opera Canal Ballad. Its forms include female Solo and male and female Duet. TheCanal ballad has an elegant melody, which is rich in beautiful colors from JiangnanWatertown. Sight bright as the stars is an affectionate aria, which expresses thelovers’ firmness and dream for love. Both of the two arias are typical and impressive.The paper is divided into three Chapters,which are showed as follows:First,it depicts the introduction to the creation of Canal Ballad. Second,the paper discussesthe images of the dominating figures and emotion analysis. Third,it analyzes thesinging style and method. Among these,the main parts are Chapter two and three.The paper will take Canal Ballad and Sight bright as the stars as examples,thenanalyzes from the pair singing paragraph of music itself and method. Through theanalysis of the two arias upon the paper,the author aims to enrich the researchachievement of the Canal Ballad as well as enhancing the understanding of singers,helping them master the singing method in order to reach a better singing effect.
