On Baodun Culture And The "Lace - Edge" Pottery Of Zhongba Culture

This paper use’lip decoration’Pottery of the two most important Late Neolithic culture, Baodun Culture and Zhongba Culture, in Sichuan Basin as research objects. Through this typology research and the feature induction of the’lip decoration’ pottery, we could deeply discuss on the relationship between those two archeological culture and also the relationship with other culture in this district.Frist, based on the archaeology phase we’ve chosen the typical artifacts to do the typology research. And, we divided the lip features of the’lace edge’pottery into seven categories. With this typological and categorical standard, we could contrast it with other’lace edge’ pottery in different culture.Second, we build the connection between different Late Neolithic culture in the Sichuan Basin. So we could prove that the’lip decoration’ pottery in the west part of Sichuan Basin be influenced by the culture from the east part of the Sichuan Basin. Of course, those two important culture cannot be the exactly same culture.
