“Separable words” is a special linguistic phenomena in Chinese foreign teaching. In recent years it has become one of the hot spots and difficulty to learner as people should know when it separate or not. We should pay more attention and strengthen the research, the purpose is to enable students to learn faster and more accurate. As I am a teacher teaching Chinese in Thailand, I can accord the actual situation investigation of the reasons, give reference opinion to teaching so students can better understand and use separable and improve their skills and level.First I will give a brief statement about research and bring forward the theoretical foundation, then propose research thinking and methods. Secondly is a investigation of the use of “separable words”. I will give a test to the students of Galayanim in Thailand then summarize the mistakes and assort them. Then I will explain the reasons of these errors which main aspects from subjective and objective. I will give recommendations and advices about how to avoid these errors.
