In recent years, with the vigorous development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and the teaching practise has gone broad and deep, teaching of Chinese Separable Words is becoming more and more important. This paper is based on the survey of Chinese Separable Words for the foreign students, besides, it used real corpus statistics as a basis for treatment recommendations on the Separable Words in the compilation of Chinese textbook, and then it suggested the strategies of teaching Chinese Separable Words.This article is made of four parts:Part Ⅰ:Systematic collection of achievements in recent years, including Chinese Separable Words is body of research and applied research, covering the structure and nature of the characteristics of the Chinese Separable Words, separate forms of species, separate analysis of the motivation and pragmatic functions of bias, and such aspects.Part Ⅱ:First, through the questionnaires done by the foreign Students, statistical results and the data of the analysis of various kinds of questions the survey found, we know that students’ situation of mastering Separable Words is not ideal, there are many problems. Secondly, what discussed from the perspective of error analysis turns out that the bias appears mainly due to two reasons; the form of separation is all too often not suitable. Then the research starts with the point of acquisition order, which provides a reference for the next compilation of teaching strategy.Part Ⅲ:With the guidance of Communication Theory and Task Teaching theory, this stressed the need to absorb the Separable Words that has already been done, and then bring about effective teaching methods. In the compilation of teaching materials, we advocate to pay more attention to the Separable Words. According to the characteristics of distribution of clutch word appear in the language style, the sentences which they appear a lot, acquisition order and other aspects of Separable Words, we suggest three true and reliable ways to teach these words, including:phonetic and interpretation, the selection of the text, and the practice settings. For the aspect of teaching practice, the characteristics of language skills courses in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, we advocate the sub-class type, step by step way of teaching Separable Words. In addition, we also advocate strengthen the teaching of usage of Separable Words, as well as paying attention to the language of the separation form of block teaching.Part Ⅳ:The teaching and research of Chinese Separable Words should be comprehensive and can examine various stages of students’ acquisition. Finally, we advocate the constartion of Chinese Interlanguage Corpus. It will paly an important role in the Chinese applied research.
