The impact of a fast increasing market economy and its influence on social moral development have resulted in a crisis of interpersonal trust. An interpersonal mistrust can lead to an attitude where people are unwilling to help others in need. In recent years, news reports on such situations have caused widespread concern and stirred many discussions. At the same time, it has also sparks public debates and interest in the study of the relationships among moral propaganda, interpersonal trust and interpersonal apathy. This study discussed three kinds of interpersonal trust: trust in the decision-making context, tendentious trust and apathy-tendency situational trust. There is positive correlation between moral emotions and indifference in situational trust.(2) Moral emotions have influence on the helping behavior in interpersonal situation of indifference. The level of tendentious trust can predict the willingness of a helping behavior in both positive and negative interpersonal situation of indifference. Individuals who have higher level of tendentious trust are more willing to help others than those with lower level of tendentious trust. Individuals are more willing to do prosocial behaviors in a positive interpersonal situation of indifference.(4) Interpersonal apathy trust is a mediator between moral emotions and helping behavior in both positive and negative interpersonal situation of indifference.(5) Moral emotions, tendentious trust and apathy tendency situational trust are the common factors that influence a person’s willingness to help in a given situation.
