There are two base ways for teaching Chinese: classroom teaching and one-on-one teaching. They are not contradictory, but complementary to each other. With the deepening of China’s reform and opening up and the increasing of national strength, many foreign-funded enterprises set their sights on China. Most of the overseas business people and tourists have the demand for learning Chinese. Due to the constraints of age, degree, time and space, the one-on-one teaching mode shows its advantages and has a great market prospects. A lot of practice indicates that compares to classroom teaching, one-on-one teaching should be one of the effective teaching modes in the field of TCSL.Nowadays the theory of constructivism is regarded as one of the most promising learning theories, it emphasizes the initiative, practical and creative of learning. Many new insights and ideas are put forward on the learning and teaching, it plays an important and positive role in guiding the practice of education, so it is widely applied in the field of education. In the field of TCSL, some people have tried the main teaching methods of the constructivism theory, and achieved certain results. However, due to the limitations of one-on-one teaching mode, the theory of constructivism has not been used widely. This thesis combining with the teaching practice, described the teaching link in detail and carefully observed the students’ learning situation. In the form of case analysis, researched the application on the TCSL one-on-one teaching of constructivism theory’s three main teaching methods.
