A Study Of "Mo Yan Phenomenon" In Chinese Contemporary Literature

From the perspective of the relationship between Mo Yan’s root-searching novels and the Latin American magic realism, a research is conducted on “Mo Yan Phenomenon” in the Chinese contemporary literature from the angle of writer’s creation. Moreover, the reference and innovation of Mo Yan’s “root-searching novels”are analyzed under the influence of the Latin American magic realism. Finally, Mo Yan’s creation and “Mo Yan Phenomenon” are introspected, and the enlightenments they bring to us are also probed into.Mo Yan is one of the representative writer of "Root-seeking" novels and also the first Chinese writer who won the Nobel Literature Prize so that it has some theoretical and practical significance to choose him as the object of study in this paper.Despite the introduction part and the conclusion part, this paper is divided into three parts. The introduction part makes an introduce to the writing reason, the research significance and the study methods, the research content and main ideas, and so on.The first part mainly introduces “Mo Yan phenomenon” and the relationship of Mo Yan, Latin-American realism and the "Root-seeking" literature. Discussions about their relationship are made separately through three aspects: the background and influences of “Mo Yan Phenomenon”s appearance, the relationship between Mo Yan and Latin-American magical realism and the relationship between Mo Yan and the "Root-seeking" literature. In the discussion process, they are linked together to present a kind of relatedness.The second part is the main body of this paper, it elaborates the creation of Mo Yan’s "Root-seeking" novel under the impact of Latin-American magical realism,Latin American magic realism impact to mo yan "root-searching novels" and in theprocess of impact, the influence of mo yan’s breakthrough and innovation. It also presents the enlightenment and transformations on ideas, the acceptance and references on creation methods under the impact of Latin-American magical realism through the acceptance process. In his later creation, it describes the absurd writing under the concept of ugliness and the folk writing under the Polyphonic mode.In the third chapter, the reflection on Mo Yan’s creation and “Mo Yan Phenomenon” is elaborated, “Mo Yan Phenomenon” is introspected. Furthermore, the enlightenments brought by “Mo Yan Phenomenon” to the Chinese contemporary literature, as well as the future development tendency of the contemporary literature are expounded.
