A Study Of Ge Hong 's Literary And Artistic Thought

Ge Hong’s literary thought in the Wei and Jin Dynasties is unique, there are both the inheritance the theory of the predecessors’ theory and its own unique insights. Based on Ge Hong’s " Bao Pu Inner Chapters" and " Bao Pu Outer Chapters" this paper will explore the idea of Ge Hong’s literature development theory, literature function theory, literary theory,literary criticism etc.The first chapter, on the basis of the brief introduction of Ge Hong’s life experience,talks about the thought of Confucianism and Taoism, the thought of other schools and the thought of against Xuan ideas. The second chapter talks about Ge Hong’s literary theory. Ge hong talked about the problems of literature development in dialectical perspective, affirm the development and progress of literature as well as the value of ancient literature. The third chapter talks about Ge Hong’s literary function theory. In his opinion that literary can be used to political indoctrination, to spread the author’s ideas to future generation, and also to show the writing style of authors. The fourth chapter talks about Ge Hong’s theory of literary creation. He talked about the the process of literary creation thought, materialized, practice in detail. The fifth chapter mainly discusses Ge Hong’s literary criticism theory and talks about author’s talent and the theory of style.
