A Tentative Study On The Construction Of Chinese Textbooks For Tourism

In 1980 s,inspired by teaching English for specific purposes(ESP), China began to carry out the teaching languages for special purposes, first proposed the "Chinese for specific purposes(CSP)" concept now is not over decade. With the development of China and the spread of Chinese all over the world, more and more people to participated in Chinese learning. Moreover, Chinese learning objective is no longer the pure language studies, but more to the practical. Therefore, emerge as the requires, teaching Chinese for specific purposes such as business Chinese,tourism Chinese, medical Chinese special and so on, has gradually formed an important branch discipline of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In recent years, with the China’s comprehensive strength improved and the close communication with other countries in the world, more and more foreigners come to China to travel or study. And Chinese people also set travel abroad as the first choice for travel, tourism Chinese talent scarcity problems have emerged. But the contrast is, the research of Chinese for specific purposes in China is still at the starting stage,as one of the important part, tourism Chinese lack of relevant concern and research. The teaching materials is an indispensable part of teaching, from an overall perspective, there are some main problems of tourism Chinese teaching materials: few in number, poor quality, low adoption rate, and hard to meet demand. As a kind of special purposes Chinese teaching materials, tourism Chinese teaching materials has its own characteristics. Therefore, the research of tourism Chinese and tourism Chinese teaching material is very necessary.This paper uses the method of statistical analysis, select two tourism Chinese textbooks, to analysis the goals,texts,words,exercises,and other aspects. By comparing the two textbooks, find out their respective advantages,disadvantages, and problems, to try to put forward some suggestions for tourism Chinese teaching material construction. Such as: It is recommended that travel Chinese teaching materials compiling to fit the teaching goal, pay attention to the training of ability; suggested set more roles in text, try to cover communication functions of tourism, increase the cultural content; suggested words choose to follow a standard outline, and does not adhere rigidly to outline and perfect vocabulary notes; suggested practice focusing on scientific, practical and interesting and so on.
