A Study Of Chinese Dramatic Audience In The Perspective Of Theater

Audience’s life is closely bound up with the development of drama, especially in China, where Chinese Drama, a sort of exotic product, playing a vital role in their daily life. With the gradual maturity pace of Chinese Drama, the number of drama audience has developed and evolved at the same time. From the drama crisis in 1980 s, drama crisis was regarded as audience crisis by those drama theorists. It was urgent to pay more attention to the necessity of audience, however, finding the theatrical thinking was the premise.This thesis discusses the origin, development as well as evolution of drama audience from the perspective of history. It researches their formation and characteristics in disparate history backgrounds. The pitch point of theatrical concept discussion and stage practice is tiny theatre movement, and we find this from previous experiences. We retrieve the peculiarity of Chinese Drama and audience in the course of elaborate theatrical thinking. It proposes, in the new era, the creation of Chinese Drama should on the basis of viewers’ demands, adopting varieties of angle to conduct design.
