Teaching is not a way to learn language, but practice is a good method of language learning that illustrates the importance of practice. The important goals of language teaching are to cultivate and improve learners’ communicative competence, However, the cultivation of students’ language abilities and the communicative practice in real context are inseparable.Therefore, the “Communication“has important position in language teaching, It is not only the goal of language teaching, it’s a method of learning, people through the real language environment and communicative practice to cultivate the students’ communicative competence.The paper is divided into the following parts:Introduction, the foreword part of the paper mainly introduces the topic’s background and significance, summary of the primary stage of oral teaching textbook design and the relevant c definition, and expatiate the research significance.Chapterone, Through the widespread use of primary spoken textbook, Elementary Chinese Speaking and The Development of Chinese and Language Elementary Spoken Language, the investigation from quantity, question types, the contents and forms of communicative exercises respectively, through the statistical analysis of the forms,question types, quantities in the exercises, summarize the basic situation in communicative exercises settings.Chapter two, mainly on the basic of youth teaching object, based on the relevance theory of pedagogy and educational psychology, analyze the characteristics of teaching object, as Chinese teacher for foreigners, with the rapid development of information era and the teaching material contents lag behind the information that we contact in our daily life,illuminates the shortcomings in teaching material contents with the contents and forms in communicative exercises.Chapter three, putting forward compiling suggestions in contents that enrich the question types and quantities in subsequent elementary spoken materials to increasing interest in communicative exercises and deepen the content of communication against deficiencies, putting forward relevant suggestions in how to use the textbook creatively in the process of teaching and highlight the interest and practicality in the contents of communicative exercises and the richness and flexibility in the forms of exercises.The innovation of the paper is by looking at the settings in communicative exercises, finds some problems in the process of using textbook when faced to characteristics young learners and different learning needs, according to teacher’s theoretical knowledge and practical situation in class,using the textbook creatively in the process of teaching to meet the needs of the learners, putting forward compiling suggestions in contents that enrich the question types and quantities to increasing interest in communicative exercises,timeliness of information and deepen the content of communication.
