To cultivate learners' communicative competence is the fundamental purpose of language teaching.Communicative exercises is an important part of all exercises in Chinese textbooks.At present,the research on communicative exercises in Chinese teaching field mainly focuses on spoken language textbooks and intermediate or advanced textbooks.This paper takes the Road to Success Lower Elementary 1 as the research area,and the communicative exercises of this textbook as the research object.This paper contains five parts: The first part is the introduction,discussing four aspects including research background,literature review,research method and research significance.The second part introduces the basic situation which consists quantity,type and distribution of the communicative exercises in this textbook;The third part examines the communicative level of the communicative exercises in this textbook through 5 principles: Meaning expression,information gap,interaction,discourse choice and process importance.The result divides the communicative exercises into two types: high communicative level and low communicative level.Combined with the author's own teaching experience;The fourth part explores the active function of teachers during communicative exercises through two cases.The fifth part is the conclusion,it summarizes the communicative exercises of Road to Success Lower Elementary 1 and also comes up with several suggestions on the compilation of communicative exercises in the Elementary Chinese Comprehensive Textbooks. |
