Color words in idioms refers to idioms containing color words. There are idioms every national language, and every nation idiom is concluded from their production and life practice educational cultural crystallization. The language of each nation has the color words, However, due to the different nature and social culture environment of different ethnic groups, there are some difference in the value orientation of color words. Thus the spread between them has brought obstacles. Mongolian and Chinese language contains o lot of color words, and colorful application in the context of their respective, vivid expression of the rich meaning. In this paper, the Mongolian and Chinese color words as the object of study, and comparative study of the culture value orientation.This paper consists of introduction, main body (The first chapter, The second chapter, the third chapter), and conclusion.Introduction:A general introduction of the reason, purpose, meaning of choosing the topic, as well as research methods and frontier research.The first chapter, in Mogolian and Chinese color words idioms, the semantic application of Mongolian and Chinese color words is analyzed. The number and content of color words in Mongolian and Chinesenidioms in the color words are not the same. We choose the white, black, red, yellow, green, black, brown and two parti color from Mongolian. These nine kinds of color words reflect the content in Mongolian color words in cultural meaning. Here based on the other scholars’point of view and the criteria for the determination of the basic color terms of Berlin and Kay. We propose white, black, red, yellow, green and other six kinds of basic color words in Mongolian view. We choose the white,black,blue, red, yellow, green,grey,purple eight colors words from Chinese idioms, and puts forward the views of the above eight kinds of basic color words in Chinese. Horse coat color word idiom contained in the Mongolian color word idiom. Horse coat color word, although there are differences in the expression of male and female horse coat color, but specifically refers to the horse’s coat color words does not exhibit the culture value orientation is different from other Mongolian and Chinese color words. The second chapter, the color words in Mongolian and Chinese idioms presents diversity with express different cultural meanings with the same color words and express the same cultural meaning with different color words.The third chapter, we put forward the reasons for the differences in the cultural meanings covered by the color words is caused by the differences in religious belief, different production methods, different living environment and different ways of thinking.
