A Study On The Antithesis Structure Of The Preposition Of Function Words

Parallel structure is a especial kind of language phenomenon, there exists a special phenomenon of prepositive function word in the parallel structure. This paper selects a typical case of the parallel structure of the prepositive function word.Describes a specific syntax environment of limited parallel structure, which involves attribute of the auxiliary, conjunctions and prepositions, and the external form of the prepositive function word in the parallel structure. At meanwhile, analyzing it from traditional grammar study : syntactic, semantic and pragmatic.This article explores three kinds of prepositive function word in the parallel structure : parallel structure of the preposition "Zhi( 之)", prepositive parallel structure of conjunction "Er(而)", parallel structure of the preposition "Yu(于)". In addition to the introduction and conclusion, it can be divided into five parts :First part is the study of the parallel structure of the preposition "Zhi(之)". This chapter identifies the function word "Zhi( 之)" as a particle, mainly focuses on parallel structure of the particle "Zhi(之)" from its structure and syntactic function.Second part is the analysis of the parallel structure of the preposition "Er(而)".The prepositive parallel structure of conjunction "Er( 而)" usually occurs with combinations, thereby here launched the presentation and discussion based on form collocation, syntactic performance, semantic expression and pragmatic functions.Third part is the elaboration of the parallel structure of the preposition "Yu(于)".Compared with the previous two chapters, the particularity of the parallel structure of the preposition "Yu(于)" is not obvious, however here analyze individually not only to emphasize the rationality of this phenomenon, but also as a reference for parallel structure of adverb preposing and conjunction preposing to aggravate the authenticity.Fourth part is the functional differences comparison of the parallel structure of the prepositive function word. According to the Halliday theory, language function was divided into ideational function, interpersonal function and textual function,which shows prominent degree, subjective degree and connection degree of the function word in this structure. And here made a comparison among them, illustrated that interaction among the various degrees encourages the existences of the parallel structure of the prepositive function word.Fifth part is the predicts of the developing trend of the parallel structure of the prepositive function word. Analyzed the current situation of the parallel structure ofthe prepositive function word, have a profound understanding of the existing types and circumstances, and predicted the possible tendency of being lexicalization of parallel structure of this special language phenomenon.
