The Buyi Language Of Kinship Terms Semantics With Pragmatic Analysis

Kinship is an interpersonal relationship which is prevalent in human society, the corresponding tag of kinship terms has an important composition in all the language of the world. As a special reflection of human culture psychological phenomenon, kinship term has been the study topic of anthropologists and linguists. In different language, or even in the same language, the kinship terms will show some similarities and differences. In the three districts of Buyi language, the kinship terms also revising such a situation.Kinship terms not only are related with the language, but also have closed relationship of the culture of a language group.It is because such importance of kinship terms, people are encouraged to do the tireless research about it. When the kinship terms of many languages have been thoroughly studied, the kinship terms of Buyi language still a weak point and the research results are not many. There is still a room for further expansion of this. In inherits the predecessor research results foundation, this paper intends to do some try, from speech, lexical, semantic and pragmatic perspectives and to have a comprehensive and systematic analysis of kinship of Buyi language.This paper consists of five chapters. The first part is the introduction of this paper. This part includes the study of reasons and significance of the research, domestic and international research, Buyi nationality and Buyi language, the data sources and study method. The middle of the three chapters is the main part of this thesis. The first chapter to analyze the kinship terms structure form, from the phonological and lexical aspects, and explore its characteristics and reasons. And this part forces on the impact of Chinese influences. The second chapter classified the kinship terms of Buyi from the semantic perspective, using the basic principles and methods, has a description and systems analysis of the semantic composition of kinship of Buyi. The third chapter is the pragmatic study of kinship terms of Buyi, from the pragmatistic and sociological perspective. This part analyzes8kinds usage including Cited and symmetry, ranking and release from said, wife and husband said, child and parents said. Finally part is the summary of this paper, this part pointed out the shortcomings and deficiencies of this paper, the space of further research.The results show that:the kinship terms of Buyi keep the national language features in speech aspects:mainly single syllable. In vocabulary aspects:mainly monosyllabic words. In phonology and vocabulary aspects are subjected to impact by Chinese dialects. In the aspect of semantics, the kinship terms of Buyi showing characteristics in gender and age difference. First, in the gender distinction, there is need to distinguish between gender, much to the elders, there does not to distinguish the sex, much to the peers and offspring. At the age of distinction, both age to distinguish strictly, mainly to direct, collateral and consanguinity, also has the age distinction is not strict, mainly to the relatives by marriage. The reasons of these characteristic have many aspects, this paper forces on two aspects:one is the influence of Buyi nationality marriage system, another is Chinese dialect influence.
