The Application Of Minority Patterns In The Still Life Painting

The development of the Chinese flowers-and-birds painting shows a colorful state today. Art workers in China are influenced by contemporary art culture, art aesthetic, social concept. The Chinese flowers-and-birds painting has came into a diversified time. A number of them make still life as the main object of painting. They treat still life as the subject of painting creation, and inject fresh blood to the Chinese flowers-and-birds painting. So the concept of the Chinese still life painting is paid more attention by Chinese people. It neither has a proper name in Chinese traditional painting nor an independent painting as western painting. However, it’s not difficult to see many images of still life from the Chinese ancient paintings preserved so far. So the Chinese still life painting existed quietly. I analyze the characteristics of the Chinese still life painting of different times in Chinese ancient and copy them for learning the traditional painting techniques. I try to combine the traditional painting techniques with new innovation. According to the results of the research in the southern minority areas, my paintings match still life with minority patterns. I try to use simple way to show colorful cultural characteristics of southern minority areas.
