Julu WEI’s family was a big family who settled in Julu and was an active family from the Northern Dynasties to Tang Dynasty.The family began with Weixin and became a special family in the Northern Dynasties.This paper attempts to give a deep understanding though analyzing the family’s lineages,marriage and culture which is of great value.In the first chapter,we talked about the oirgin of WEI’s name,location and lineages.WEI is from the family name of Ji,who was from the descendants of King ZHOU Wen.The family located itself in Julu and become bigger and bigger.This part tried to expound its origin and lineages.In the second chapter,we talked about WEI’s marriages and officials.there were nine marriages were to talk about.As to the family,Julu WEI’s family thought it was important to marry big family.As to its officials,Julu WEI’s family member were both military and high ranked.In the third chapter,we talked about WEI’s culture of family knowledge and family style.As to its family knowledge,WEI’s family members had a wide spread of knowledge.As to its family style,The family put great emphasis on the principles of Confucianism.In the fourth chapter,We analyzed the relationship between Wei book and the study of Spring and Autumn Annals from the aspect of style,catastrophe and national viewpoint.At last,we summarized the family and indicated that WEI’s family was a big special family among the numerous big families at that time.
