The Practice Report Of English And Chinese Translation

This report mainly takes the Chapter 33 Which norms in everyday practice ?And why?and Chapter 37 Academic English A standardized knowledge?of the applied language paper, entitled The Routledge Handbook of World Englishes, as an example. At the macroscopic level,taking communicative translation theory as a guide to practice in this paper.At the microscopic level,this chapter,involving the characteristics of English language used in Standard English and Academic English, adopt two translation methods that are the choice of meaning and the extension of the word in linguistic terms translation practice. In order to enhance the accuracy of the translation work, the translator adopt appropriate translation strategies. In linguistic acronym translation practice,this chapter conveys the full meaning adhering to the principles of conciseness and equivalence.Finally,when dealing with the compounded sentences, this paper use the method of rhetorical pragmatic analysis,textual discourse analysis and iconicity principle analysis to make the work more easier to understand.
