"Look back on the plateau" is a minority documentary, which is a faithful record of Yunnan Mongolia people’s life, festivals and emotion. The entire film takes the Nadam festival as the main line, shooting the whole process of preparation of Naadam, and selects the typical character story for clues to complete the whole story of the arrangement. The film uses a metaphor of a country’s national emotion attribution to present the concept of harmony and unity of a nation. Smallness, easy to digest, causing the audience to think, to complete the movie thought communication, which is the embodiment of this piece of an innovative and final demand. This statement of work deeply analyses of the topic and conception of the documentary on Look back on the plateau, and analyses of the data collection of the documentary, frame structure, sound and picture construction and post editing process. Using film language to combine complex feelings of national fusion in simple montage among, and strive to the creative concept of the inheritance of documentary aesthetics, using objective reality records, combined with the real story, plot to promote the development of the incident, helping the local minority expression, making more people have more profound understanding to the nation, and the cohesion, the spiritual home of have a more profound understanding.
