On The Innovation And Development Of American "Methodist" Performance

This article, standing point of the theory of creators of “Method Acting”, mainly including Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler, explores the relationship between “Method Acting” theory in the US and Stanislavsky system in Russia. Based on the comparison of these two theories, this article describes how “Method Acting” sustain Stanislavsky system through analyzing how practice of actors in drama& film works and words from these creators. Meanwhile, this article also discusses and compares some key elements such as “emotion sustitution method” and “stress on fixed scene”, as well as proves that “Method Acting” sustains and enhances the Stanislavsky system by combining the training method and innovative concept of “Method Acting” and real application of famous actors in art creation process.
