| Grammar teaching constitutes one of the most important part of TCSL, and formost foreign students, learning grammar is a basic requirement as well as a toughissue. These days, in order to simplify grammar learning, many textbooks have triedthe way of providing English notes for grammar. There is no doubt that this way givesthe foreign students a lot assist in their learning, especially for the beginners, as theprecise English notes will help them understand the grammar better and furtherimprove the efficient of grammar teaching. However in the practice of teaching, oweto the differences between Chinese and English, the English notes may causemisunderstand of the grammar to the learner.Thus, this thesis will on the basis of former research, compare the English notesfor grammar in the book Boya Hanyu and Hanyu Jiaocheng(the revised edition),accompanying with questionnaires which will emphasize the suggestions of theteachers and learners toward the English notes for grammar, finally figure out eightproblems in the English notes in the primary step of TCSL:1. The inaccurate wordsused in the notes will leads ambiguities;2. The English notes are structurallycomplicate and terminological;3. The English notes are uncomprehensive;4. Thenotes do not compile with the idiom of English;5. There are grammar errors in thenotes;6. The lack of the grammar example sentences;7. The grammar notes arediscrepant;8. The mistake of compose type; Meanwhile give four propositions for thecompiling of learning books:1. Set up unanimous examples for the English notes ofgrammar.;2. Deduce the usage of terminology of grammar;3. Comply with the rulesof English grammar and expression;4. Simplify the English notes of grammar;5.Apply the method of both metaphrase and paraphrase in example sentences. Theauthor wish the above suggestions would make some differences in improving theEnglish notes in the text books. so as to contribute to the compile of the text booksand TCSL. |
