Senior Chinese teaching intensive reading is the key of the textbook compiling of the Chinese as a foreign language. At present, the research is relatively not that much. It needs to do some more research. In order to more targeted,The writer made comparative study intensive reading textbook of “Downstairs Chinese textbooks” concluded grade9 and grade10, the senior Chinese of “development of Chinese ” concluded book1 and book2, mainly applied document study method, comparison method, list, chart, analysis. The research mainly includes four aspects. Namely, New words, texts, annotations, exercises.For new words, the main research method is a quantitative research. The author statistics new words material of teaching in two series for four copies. And the author thinks the compiling of the new words should be orderly and moderate. In advanced stage, amount of new words in each lesson should be kept in 40-60.And the amount of new words between volumes should be kept in a certain gradient. Moreover, the second volume is a little bit harder than the first. But its number had better not more than 10 new words. Between lessons, it is better reduced in a fluctuation within 5 new words.The study of the text includes the main text and extending reading. The main text should be researched qualitatively separately from the origin, type, theme selection. The author thinks the source of the main text should be authority, language should be normative, genre should be varied, theme should be rich, according with the requirement of advanced learners. About senior Chinese textbooks, the number of the main text should be controlled in 2000 words or less. Expansion reading is to supplement and extension of the main text.Its theme should be closely related to the main text. We should design the corresponding new words and exercises to help learners to understand the main content of the article.Annotation plate of teaching material concludes four parts. They are end-line comments, choose words to explain, language points, idiom and culture. The explanations of end-notes are simple and clear. Words, language points, idioms and cultural selection and explanation to the comprehensive and targeted, concise, detailed and focusing, still more a lot of examples to help learners to comprehend.The study of teaching material should be the combination of qualitative and quantitative. The author has carried on the statistics about exercises types, the frequency of each type in the teaching material, the topic quantity, compile the order. The author thinks that the order of practice of the senior China reading teaching material should be kept from easy to difficult, step by step. And the first volume is the words to practice. Practice is followed by the sentence, finally, the text practices and passage practice. And the answer is fixed in the former, flexible and open questions in the back.During the compiling process of the senior intensive reading materials, The difficulty of the second volume is harder than the first a little to comply with the principle of “i+1”. The author summarizes the existing problems in current materials about the compiling basing on the research of the two senior intensive reading teaching materials to put forward the corresponding compiling advices and compiling strategies. And the author hopes it is helpful for the compiling of the senior intensive reading teaching materials in the future.
