Official-used Longquan celadon in the early period of Ming Dynasty is a hot topic of ancient ceramic academics and collectors in recent years, especially in 2005, discovery of FengDongYan kilnsite in the DaYao village of Longquan is a prelude to formal research in this area. Discussion about it in this article is mainly from "palace-used containers" recorded in the book "Ming Hui Dian", and combined with extant complete containers of official-used Longquan celadon in the early period of Ming Dynasty and excavated material objects in the FengDongYan kilnsite in the DaYao village of Longquan, etc.Archaeological evaluation for "palace-used containers" recorded in the book "Ming Hui Dian" is done in two respects, such as shape (huge and plump body type, thick, heavy and exquisite container wall, the correct and regular entirety) and decoration(carved decoration processing and full work decoration) of official-used Longquan celadon in the early period of Ming Dynasty. In the course of argument, it will be compared with the GuanYao containers of Jingdezhen in the early period of Ming Dynasty. Through a detailed argument, the final conclusion is:First, Longquan kiln in the early period of Ming Dynasty made a large number of "palace-used containers";Second, by comparing shape and decoration between official-used Longquan celadon in the early period of Ming Dynasty and the GuanYao kiln in Jingdezhen in the same period, it is found that they are very similar, which proves the former also has the quality of the GuanYao kiln. Moreover, in a sense such a comparison made the best interpretation of "manufacture of final- decision pattern" recorded in the book "Ming Hui Dian";Third, the shape of official-used Longquan celadon in the early period of Ming Dynasty can be summarized as three features: huge and plump body type, thick, heavy and exquisite container wall, the correct and regular entirety. Fourth, specific characteristics of decoration on official-used Longquan celadon in the early period of Ming Dynasty can be represented as clever use of carved decoration processing, emphasis on the selection of plant-flower decoration, the rational combination of theme decoration and auxiliary decoration.
