Since1983, the scope of Chinese heads’ visits have radiated tothe rest of the world. Those changes reflect China’s integration into the world.The content of Chinese head’s foreign visit has been varying from China’s coreinterest. In Mao and Liu’s period, the content of foreign visit is to enhance politicalrelations with other countries. Economic element began to take part in Chineseheads’s visits soon afterwards. Since1993, the content of Chinese heads’ visits haveintegrated with more elements such as the cooperation in cultural area and the need toshape China’s national image.Head of state is the highest executive of a country’s foreign policy, while foreignvisit is the major form of “head of state diplomacy”.
