China And The Golden Triangle Region Between The Drug Safety Issues

The cultivation and spread of drugs are accompanied with the development ofhumans’civilization.The drug issues of Golden Triangle region which is one of theworld’s three major drug source has a long history.Along with China’s reform and opening and the deepening of globalization,thedrug issues of Golden Triangle region spreaded to China again and becameincreasingly serious over the last few years.Growing opium cultivation,severeflooding traditional drugs,popular new type drugs,a substantial increase in thenumber of drug synthesis making workshops and other issues became much moreapparent.Otherwise,with the continuous expansion of regional exchanges as well asthe advancement of technology,Golden Triangle drug issues are also showing a lot ofnew features since the twenty-first century.A sharp increase in the number of drugaddicts,intelligent drug crime means,expansion and generalization of drugmanufacturing point range,all of these make the drug safety issues in the regionseem to become a major obstacle which has a serious impact on the economicdevelopment and the social stability of the neighbouring countries.Golden Triangle countries (China,Vietnam,Myanmar,Thiland,Laos) have takenthe proactive remediation and combat measures,such aslegislation,combattingcrimes,eaducation and publicity,liveliooddevelopment,alternative cultivation and so on.However,due to te universality ofregional exchanges and criminal means’modernity,with the passage of time,the drugproblem of the Golden Triangle region is getting constantly complicated,almost hasformed a whole drug network with cultivation,processing,trafficking andconsumption.Whether it is China,Thailand,Myanmar,orVietnam,Laos,just relying onthe ability of one nation or one country cannot really solve this drug problem.Onlycarrying out extensive cooperation can five countries control the continuesly worsenof drug issue in Golden Triangle region and advance the process of renovation andimprovement.This paper can be separatedinto four parts. The connotation, the characters and the influence on the Golden Triangle region of the drugs are elaborated in the firstchapter. In the second chapter, abundant data and charts are used to elaborate thestatus, the features and the affection (other non-traditional security issues arousedby the drug issue mainly) of the drug issue in Golden Triangle region. In the thirdchapter, the domestic measures of both China and other four countries (Vietnam,Laos, Thailand, Myanmar) on the Golden Triangle’s drug issues are elaboratedseparately. And an effectiveness analysis has been conducted on the previous basis.The fourth chapter undertakes and deepens the third one.It mainly elaborated theneccessary of international cooperation and the current situation and deficiency ofthe cooperation on the drug issues among five countries.At last, theinternationalcooperation measures are proposed to promote the solution of drugissues in Golden Triangle region.
