Since World War II, the Vietnam War is the successor to the Korean War, anotherlarge-scale "hot war." Since the outbreak of the Vietnam War in1961, it is not just the war andthe battle between the United States and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Allies of theUnited States and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam are also different levels involved in thisstruggle. In this struggle, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam as an ally of China played animportant role. China has given Democratic Republic of Vietnam, a lot of military, material anddiplomatic support to the Vietnamese people against the United States, so that China is anindispensable condition for unification victory. As for United States and the DemocraticRepublic of Vietnam the battle on the battlefield is only one aspect, diplomatic struggle andpeace negotiations is the other side of the whole struggle. In the course of negotiations thatUnited States and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam use to solve the problems of war, Chineseattitude towards the negotiations has a certain impact on the proposed bargaining and negotiationstrategies in the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. This thesis falls into three sections to answerthese questions:Section one discusses from1964to1968, China’s attitude towards the peace temptation andParis negotiations began in May1968between the United States and the Democratic Republic ofVietnam, and its reasons and influence. This chapter considers that from1964to1968in October,China firmly opposes all kinds of exploratory talks between the United States and Vietnam, andopposed the Paris peace talks began in May1968. China firmly opposes all kinds of exploratorytalks between the United States and Vietnam affected by the Sino-Soviet relations, China-USrelations and China’s leaders Understanding whether or not the time is ripe for negotiations.China’s opposition had a certain impact on China-Vietnam relations, Sino-Soviet relations.Section two discusses from1968November to1972May, China’s attitude towards the Parisnegotiations between the United States and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and its reasonsDuring this period, China’s attitude towards the US-Vietnam negotiations in Paris has gone from“Indecisive”to non-interference. During this period, China change its attitude impacted by theSino-Soviet relations and the development of Sino-US relations, but also affected by thedevelopment of the domestic political situation.Section three discusses from1972June to1973January, China’s attitude towards the Parisnegotiations between the United States and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and its reasonsand influence. At this time, China began to actively promote the US-Vietnam Paris negotiations.China’s attitude is mainly affected by the Sino-US relations. During this period, China change itsattitude both have positive impact, but also have a negative influence.
