A Study Of Wang Chonghui 's Legal Thought

When we review the modern history of China, We will find that law, politics and diplomacy is affected greatly by the external environment. In the age of turbulence, each field presented corresponding changes. Born in this era, Wang Chonghui won reputation at home and broad with profound legal skills, superb political knowledge and matured diplomatic strategy. He studied abroad several years with excellent learning achievement. He brought Chinese and foreign legal thoughts together and understood thoroughly. He is good at Constitution,Comparative law and International law. He is keen on political and diplomatic. At the same time he is a liberalism thought leader and a firm supporter of "good government". He contributed to Chinese sovereign independence and freedom through his effort. In a word, he struggled for Chinese legal system and sovereign independence through his life. This paper, combined with other materials, mainly focus on his legal thoughts. The full text is divided into three parts, the first part is the first chapter, giving introduction of Wang Chonghui’s life experience and social background. The second part including the second, three and fourth chapter mainly elaborated the legislative thought, judicial thought, thought of constitution, criminal thought and other legal thought. This is a key part of the full text. The third part is the summary of the paper, describing the historical influence of Wang Chonghui’s legal thought, the limitations and the influence on the modern legal system.
