Wang Zhengting And The Radical Diplomacy Of The Republic Of China

Diplomacy is influenced by the type of the state. States established under theinfluence of different political currents have different choices on diplomacy. After thevictory of the Northern Expedition, the Kuomintang which uphold the concept ofbuilding regime though revolution came into power. Its diplomatic orientationdisplays as Revolutionary Diplomacy and Civil Diplomacy.Does it mean that thepolitical current of radicalism will bring China to the modern world and help Chinagain acknowledgment, equality and respect? This paper starts with the diplomacypractice of Wang ChengTing and analyses Revolutionary Diplomacy and CivilDiplomacy during the period of the Republic of China from the aspect of the politicalcurrent of radicalism. The author supposes that diplomacy of the Republic of Chinawas influenced by the political current of radicalism and tries to proof this assumption.This paper also demonstrates the developing course of radicalistic diplomacy duringthe period of the Republic of China.
