The Greater Mekong Sub-region is extremely rich in biodiversity. Sub-region in Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Yunnan province of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region plays a central role in the conservation of biodiversity in the Mekong River Basin. Each country’s policy, law,economy, culture and so on will form a certain impact on the Sub-region. As an important channel and the link between the China with Southeast Asian countries contact, the Greater Mekong Sub-region since the development is highly paid attention to China, China in the fields of transport, energy, environment, agriculture, tourism, trade facilitation and cooperation in other ways, such as participation in investment to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and other developing economic and trade cooperation zone construction, the Chinese government continued to promote Sub-regional countries and regional economic cooperation. But the lessons of the past the destruction of ecological environment in the process,many projects in development and construction, protection of biological diversity, to achieve sustainable development of regional ecological system, encourage and guide the sustainable development, utilization, management and protection of the Greater Mekong sub regional biological resources, is particularly important. Therefore, to protect the biodiversity cooperation construction of regional biodiversity protection law system, in order to achieve the Greater Mekong sub-regional economic benefits, social benefits and take the coordinated development of ecological benefits of the road.This paper is divided into four chapters, the first part is the Analysis and definition of the concept of biological diversity and the Greater Mekong Sub-region, briefly describes the biological status of the Greater Mekong Sub-region, features diversity and the protection of the importance of biodiversity for sub-regional social, economic and environmental construction. The third section analyzes the current problems in the Greater Mekong Sub-region Biodiversity Conservation legal system, such as the inadequate protection of endangered species, the imperfection of Trans-boundary nature reserves and biological corridor construction, the insufficiency of cooperation platform construction of Invasive alien species, and so on. The fourth part put forward some corresponding improvement strategies.
