A Study On The Problem Of Providing For The Aged Women In Rural China

Along with the aging and the acceleration of urbanization, the speed and extent of rural aging are gradually higher than urban women, and because the female life is generally higher than the male, the number of rural elderly women is larger than men, but their retirement condition exists certain problems, showing a low income, poor health, inadequate care, the low status in the family, spiritual emptiness of life etc.. The method combined with theory research and field visits, points out the realistic problem that our rural elderly women aged exist at present and through the comparison with the urban elderly women and rural older men, analysis the formation of this situation from the aspect of system and social value, and puts forward some suggestions.The first part is the introduction, introduces the background, theoretical and practical significance, the research program, carried out the research status at home and abroad, and the related concepts are briefly defined, introduces the related theory.The second part selected50elderly in the village of Z, by means of questionnaire, literature and field observation on their one-on-one questionnaire and interviews, the author collected data and personal experience, the village’s rural elderly women aged condition were fully understand, including different ages elderly women show different pension difficulties, elderly women overall economic income is very low, poor health care., the empty and single life.In the third part, using the Z village as an example, according to the national information and data, points out the existing gap of old-age status in elderly rural women and elderly women and rural elderly male. Displays in:compared with the urban elderly women, rural elderly women income, health status, life care and spiritual comfort, enjoying the old-age social resources, spiritual abundance are poor than urban elderly women; compared with the rural elderly men, the rural elderly women economic income, health status, family status and the life care and spiritual comfort are poor than the rural elderly men.The fourth part, according to the problems that the gap between rural elderly women pension and other groups, I analyze the reasons for the situation from two aspects of social system and social values. The system reason:the different pension benefits between urban and rural because of the urban and rural endowment insurance system, and urban and rural residents income gap caused by different economic system, and rural social assistance system; reasons on social values are:the backward ideas lead to the low level of education of rural women, rural women low family status, social recognition, the lack of the traditional filial piety culture.The fifth part proposes some suggestions to improve the situation of rural elderly women, including gradually reform problems of the emergence of the new endowment insurance policy in the implementation process, to take care of the rural elderly women rights fully; carry forward the culture of filial piety in to play the basic role of family pension, strengthening the function of rural community construction; increase the human capital in the upgrading of rural women from the root of the financial input in rural education, medical care and training; improve the rural women social status by the economic, legal, moral and other means; to improve the rural social assistance system and pay attention to the rural elderly women.The sixth part is the summary and outlook, summarize the main content of the thesis, hope can ultimately improve endowment dilemma of rural old aged women through the implementation of relevant policy recommendations.
