The Research Of Endowment Issues For The Left-behind Elderly In Rural Areas

Under the background of population aging and urbanization process, and as the development of economic and social, there are many problems, as economic support, living care, spiritual life and health, in elderly endowment the rural elderly, especially for left-behind elderly.In this thesis, Guandian village which located in Hubei Province was selected to do field research. First of all, economic support, living care and spiritual life and health were studied to know the status quo of rural left-behind elderly in poor areas; then, analyze the causes which from the actual conditions, the party and state’s policies, to individual, family and social that effecting the left-behind elderly endowment; finally, propose that, measures from three aspects including individual, family and social should be taken to solve the problem of left-behind elderly endowment. Therefore, the main content of this study includes the following three aspects:Frist, the endowment situation of left-behind elderly in Guandian village was not very well. Through the deeply survey in Guandian village, the conclusion was that rural left-behind elderly endowment situation was not optimistic, there were many problems as followings:(1) the poor economic support mainly comes from their labor income;(2) the left-behind elderly were lack of living care;(3) rural left-behind elderly were not satisfied in spiritual demand because of the lack of entertainment and caring from children;(4) the rural left-behind elderly were unhealthy, and there are many potential safety hazard.Second, there were many causes that effect the left-behind elderly endowment. In this part, we tried to analyze what do influence the endowment for left-behind elderly, from the actual conditions in rural areas, the party and state policies, to individual, family and social.Third, measures which can solve the endowment problem should be made. The system which including personal, family and social should be constructed to the settle the left-behind elderly endowment.
