Study On The Construction Of The Housing Model Of The Urban Empty - Nest Family

The essay started at the social hot issue that the population problem of social aging and home care issues. As the increase of the aging population in our country and the change of the family structure from big to small, it is an inevitable social problem that more and more empty-nest families emerged.According to the Investigation from 60-80 years old, empty nesters, the essay analyzes their behavioral characteristics, psychological needs with the theoretical supports from phenomenology of architecture, psychology, sociology. It is more important that houses can give the home feeling and enhance the neighborhood relationship to the empty nest families for relieve the loneliness by their children run away from home. According to fundamental realities of our country, the economy limited and the elder wishes, living in their own home for their aging life is the main trend in Chinese social background.Based on the theory by Christian Norberg-Schultz:living with the meaning of existence, the essay summarizes a model of housing system for the empty nest families on four levels:community area, residential area, public facility and home unit with a new concept of house models for elder people, which to explore the realization of the aging value and enhance the communication quality of the empty nest elderly people.It is hoped that this essay will provide a system for empty nest aged to live in their own home, and feel the warm of family and society.
