With the density increasing of integrate circuit, it is popular that more and more IP coresinterated into a single chip. This paper introduces a SoC design for fiscal application whichbased on GODSON1 IP core, and abtains some useful experience through the process of thedebugging and optimizing for the chip.First, this paper introduces the design of SoC's bootloader, including its design rules andflows and with its main characters. The work of designing bootloader impacts directly on theverification and debuging of this SoC. In the paper we summary some ways to how to debugthe SoC on the level of bootloader. Then, embedded operation systems migration is refered in the paper. We have migratedthree operation systems for fiscal SoC of GODSON1, which are Linux, eCosII and uCOS/II.These operation systems are all have themselves characters. In this paper we lay out the maincharacters and the major migration work about these operation systems. As we can see,full-scale and more powerful testing can be allowed under these operation systems, but howcan we find out the fault in the SoC is harder than under bootloader. Furthermore, this paperalso illustrates some methods and experience about how to debugging operation systems. In order to optimize the performance of this SoC, a detail analysis is given for the fiscalSoC of GODSON1 in this paper, which successfully explains the phenomenon for the hungryof MAC requesting to the bus that was often caught in the software testing. This paper analysesthe structure of the MAC's buffer, called "FIFO" in this paper, and the arbitraton arithmeic ofwhirling bus, and gives the solution for the problem reflecting the above phenomenon, togetherwith it the reliable parameters of MAC FIFO in theory.
