With the development of the stealth technique, reducing RCS of antenna has become an important topic.At present, the alteration of antenna's gain and bandwidth has been the main criterion which is used to weigh the means of RCS reduction. Associated with a research project and based on the previous work, the paper studies more deeply and comes to some available conclusions .The RCS of microstrip antenna is reduced while antenna's radiation performance remains by all means.Firstly, the simulation is carried out on the application of aperture coupled microstrip antenna. This feeding technique takes on many advantages such as feeding simply and great bandwidth ,while the separation is achieved between feeding network and radiation patch in the design of antenna array.Secondly, the analysis is presented about the effect on the scattering performance by cutting slots on the groundplane of microstrip antenna and a low-RCS microstrip antenna is designed combining shorted-posts load.Thirdly, the substrate with lowεr is used to reduce the RCS of antenna. Finally, some research is carried out on the RCS reduction of conformal microstrip antenna. |
