Design And Implementation Of A SNMP Agent Based On Mixed Software

In 1990s Nortel Networks issued their new prodoct , telecommunication switch network,based on software switching techknology, after that time,software switching and IMS(Ip Multimedia Subsystem) techknolege make the core net more complex because of the distinguish between controlment and media or submedia,standared distribution network namagement protocal is unable to satisfy the needs that the next generation network requires self-adaption and easy-expansion. More over,in soft-switch system,there always are sevral telecommunication subsystem running on a same host computer,it is needed to save the system resoruce and have a clear logical and physics structure. So it will be discussed than how to design an network management plan witch supplies dynamic organization based on distribution network namagement.First,this article will introduct main needs of network namagement, network error management, network configuration management, network performance management, network accounts the management,and network security management. Then it will show the inner stucture and function of the network management server,besides organization structure of the distribution network namagement with the newest edition of network security management.Second, this article will analysis the code ,function and flow of the open source network management's platform,NET-SNMP. Then it will propose a design that communicates with management domain by snmp protocal and in a same host computer by system message ,named compound software agent. What's more, this design will reduces the comsumption of telecommuniation subsystem in network management, easy the module which supplis the communication between telecommunication subsystem and compound software agent, the difficulty for transporting,and make the development cycle becomes shorter.Third,the design will try to meet the rquest that telecommunication subsystem could dynamic start and transport from one computer to another.Last,all the sub-design need to meet the flow and structure of NET-SNMP platform,then make a compound software agent based on NET-SNMP .
