Nowadays, Patch-Clamp technique has become a general method in the field of modern electrophysiological research. The computer-controlled patch-clamp system is called into being. Data acquisition and control system, which is an important part of the patch-clamp system, links Patch-Clamp with personal computer, realizes the communication of the data and the control commands.To realize the automatic patch-clamp system, a new data acquisition and control system is developed. It uses USB2.0 interface instead of ISA or PCI bus interface. The system is controlled by FPGA. Synchronizing output with input was implemented. Sampling frequency can be changed from 1kHz to 350kHz. It has four D/A channels, eight A/D channels and one control channel. Digital isolators, reasonable power supply and reasonable layout are used to reduce noise. Also self-contained operation classes provide the interface to control the data acquisition and control system.In this thesis, the system architecture and the key technology were introduced first. Then the design of USB2.0 interface based on the control chip CY7C68013 was discussed, including the control program in host PC and the firmware in the chip CY7C68013. The designs of control logic based on the FPGA,EP1C6T144C6,and other circuits were described in detail stage by stage. Now the data acquisition and control system is used with PC3 automatic patch-clamp amplifier. And correlative experiments can testify that the system could run stably.
