The development of integrated technology at vary fast speed has brought an integration trend in the design and manufacture of integrated Circuit. The system on a chip (SoC) is the inevitable trend of the development of current technology. The significant strongpoint of SoC is the reusing of IP core. How to improve the quality of IP core and built a complete system about IP core evaluating and attestation has been the hot spot in the research recently.In this thesis,the designed IP core of the 7816 telecommunication interface module within the APB bus interface is mainly introduced, and the functional verification of IP in a real SoC circumstance is realized.In this thesis, some methods of verification in existence,some relative knowledge of SoC and IP core and the design of 7816 telecommunication interface are firstly introduced.Secondly, a circumstance of system for verification based on Synopsys VIP which take the IP standards as basis is built, and the 7816 IP core is correspondingly configured by using the instructions. Finally, based on the 7816 interface protocol, the vectors generated by using the instructions prove the functional integrality of 7816 interface.This article focuses on the design of 7816 IP core within the APB bus interface and the verification of the construction of SoC platform. The 7816 IP is accord in with ISO7816 standard, support the T=0 protocol (asynchronous half duplex character transmission), realized the data path between the system and the external smart card (sim card); and the SoC platform has good reusablity and good universality, it will conveniently connect the IP core within the APB bus interface, config and verify it by the internal instructions. The SoC platform avoids the need of different TestBench platform for different IC design, and improves the efficiency of IC verify.
