With EMU still heating up in China and domestic demand for train equipment continued to strengthen, as one key technology of train, train control network becomes more and more important. At present, due to geographical constraints and different companies, while the settings of the train network international standards, but in the future for a long time the train would continue to use their respective countries in a mature network technology. Train networks introduced by our country include TCN, LonWorks, World FIP, ARCNET and CAN bus, etc.Focus of this paper is the design of ring train network. By analyzing the ARCNET protocol characteristics, and the reference to our EMU CRH2 network structure, we build ring ARCNET network model from theoretical analysis. Through the development of this model, the related hardwares is completed in the experimental environment, mainly includeding the ring node hardware and the middle node hardware. Among them, the ring node use S3C2440 CPU to control data transceiver and display, in the middle node STC89C52 is used to simulate the part operating environment of train.At the same time, embedded Linux development is used, and the Linux kernel configuration and reduction are alse completed. By transplanting kernel, developing drives and graphical interface, the basic transportation application program is completed. In the middle node, this paper develops the program of ARCNET network control device, temperature sensor acquisition program and relay opened and closed.In the end, by building the ring ARCNET network, and debugging the network, the basic communication function is complited, and the test analysis of network perfomence is also carried out.The study result of this paper provides some reference values for ARCNET network to be used in train control. It also has very high practical significance for our contry to have independent intellectual property rights of train control network.
