| This thesis, with regional scientific and technological development work as its subject of study and a focus on the background, opportunities, targets of and factors influencing regional scientific and technological development, offers valuable guidance for the exploration into the laws and mechanisms of scientific and technological development in the different areas in China.The thesis proposes the guiding lines, development orientations, main targets, measures and suggestions for the scientific development in Nantong on the basis of a thorough and systematic analysis on the current situation and problems in the scientific development in this area. It is maintained in the thesis that scientific and technological development work should rid itself of the conventional closed system to accommodate itself to the open and global development tendency to promote economic and social development.This thesis points out that Nantong should adhere to the principles of "introduction and transformation, coordination and integration" and "being humanistic and striving for breakthroughs" for scientific and technological development, aim at enhancing scientific and technological innovation capability, promoting industrial technological upgrading, strengthening work in "revitalizing agriculture with science and technology" and work in the domain of social public interests, further creating a climate and environment favorable to scientific and technological development to form a satisfactory regional scientific and technological innovation system to furnish vigorous scientific and technological support and service for great-leap-forward development, social progress and realization of well-off society in Nantong. |
