An Empirical Study On Regional Scientific And Technological Competitiveness And Economic And Social Development Under The Background Of Yangtze River Delta Integration

Scientific and technological competitiveness plays a significant role in the economic and social development of a country or region.Improving the competitiveness of science and technology is the internal need of building China into an innovative country,enhancing international competitiveness and taking the road of science and technology power.It is also an important way to realize the strategy of high-quality integrated development of Yangtze River Delta.This paper analyzes how to improve the regional scientific and technological competitiveness,promote the economic and social development and realize the high-quality integration of the Yangtze River Delta by calculating the evaluation score of the regional scientific and technological competitiveness and the level of economic and social development in the Yangtze River Delta and testing the correlation between the two.Based on the domestic and foreign research on the competitiveness of science and technology and the integration of development,through literature clustering method to find the common indicators in the research of domestic and foreign institutions and scholars,combined with the indicators construction principles in statistical analysis,Constructed including the new product research and development situation,the level of high and new technology industry development,science and technology environment ten indexes in four aspects of science and technology competitiveness evaluation index system and the development of urbanization,economic development,public services,culture,resources and environment science and technology 23 indicators from six aspects of economic and social level evaluation index system.Factor analysis and principal component analysis were used to evaluate the scientific and technological competitiveness and economic and social development level of three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2010 to 2020,and canonical correlation analysis was used to analyze the scientific and technological competitiveness and economic and social development level of three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta region during 11 years.Based on the empirical results,three conclusions are drawn by combining theory with practice:1.Increasing scientific and technological input and improving scientific and technological output are effective ways to improve the scientific and technological competitiveness of Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui provinces;2.2.The promotion process of scientific and technological competitiveness can be divided into three stages:investment construction,development and improvement,and achievement transformation;3.There is a positive correlation between scientific and technological competitiveness and the level of economic and social development.The stronger the scientific and technological competitiveness is,the better the level of economic and social development is,and the more conducive to the realization of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.In view of the scientific and technological competitiveness of Anhui province is now basically completed investment construction,is in the stage of development and perfection,and finally to realize the achievement transformation,suggestions are put forward from two aspects of talent and achievement transformation.Based on the new development concept,the countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from three aspects of policy,resources and technology to improve the level of economic and social development and promote the high-quality integrated development ofYangtze River Deltaregion.
