Comparative Research On Cross-border M&A

With transnational Corporations (TNCs) aggravation of competition, Cross-border Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) have already exceeded newly-built investment, and become the main way of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and is playing a more and more important role in the world. Not only in developed countries, but also in developing countries, Cross-border M&A are becoming the main mode of FDI. If China is still going on the way of marketing economy, It must face the challenge of Cross-border M&A. So, as a new comer, analysis the character and trend of Cross-border M&A, study the experience from developed countries including some developing countries is very important to Chinese corporations.This dissertation is including four parts. The first part is exordium introducing the concept, the history, the character & trend, the theory of Cross-border M&A, explain the significance of comparative research; The third part and fourth are analysis the character and the trend of Cross-border M&A concretely on the different visual angle: industrial distribution and geographical distribution; The fourth part is Chinese corporations' Cross-border M&A including Chinese corporations and M&A, the character, the industrial distribution and geographical distribution of Chinese Cross-border M&A. At last, through this research, the author gets some suggestions about the strategy of Chinese corporations' Cross-border M&A.
