Study On Diversification Development Strategies From A Perspective Of Knowledge Of Enterprise

Diversification Strategy is an effective method to development of enterprise, which was brought into effect about 2/3 among the top 500 enterprise in <> . However, there are oppugn and perplexity towards the actual status. On the other hand, with China entering WTO, the western powerful multinational corporations will compete with domestic enterprise more drastically. In the face of opportunity and challenge meanwhile, can the domestic enterprise strengthen via diversification strategy? with the guidance of the basic view of knowledge, according to the study result from diversification strategy theory, knowledge management and competitive strategy theory, the correlative issue on selecting and actualizing of diversification strategy was discussed in this thesis. The meaning of knowledge and enterprise knowledge, and the elementary property of enterprise knowledge were analyzed in detail at first, then the inherent essence of competitive advantage come from enterprise knowledge was analyzed thoroughly. via before-mentioned, why did enterprise bring the diversification strategy into effect? the inherent kinetic elements were studied. Then, the issue on the choice between diversification strategy and specialization strategy was recognized, and the choice of target industry which is the key to diversification strategy selecting was discussed. The limitation of traditional thought was analyzed in the first place, the thought was put forward that the target industry is selected via knowledge advantage in enterprise itself and its tractility and relativity then, the index system and estimating model of knowledge advantage was constituted, the rule of selecting field range was brought forward meanwhile. The implement about diversification strategy basing on knowledge was studied finally. Which is a systematical project, consanguineous cooperations with many elements were indispensable. The corresponding measures on cultivating enterprise knowledge advantage, improving the capacity of transferring knowledge among enterprise, and building corresponding organizing condition were put forward in this thesis. The study in this thesis can offer some reference to enterprise putting diversification strategy into effect, and be available supplement to correlative theory.
