Study On The Measure Model And Application Of Knowledge Distance Among The Members Of Knowledge Alliance

Knowledge has become an important strategic resource in the knowledge-based economy. The use and creation of knowledge depend not only on the production of knowledge, but also on the flow of knowledge within and between economies, which start to be an important source for gaining advantages in competition. Complying with the knowledge economy and creating a wider space for knowledge flows, knowledge alliance has become a new tendency of enterprise development as a kind of new organization form. Measurment research of knowledge distance among the knowledge allidance is not only an essential component of studying on the measurement of the knowledge distance among enterprises in the knowledge alliance, but also a foundational and precursory research for the selection and efficiency optimization among the members.Instructed by theories of management, economics and others, this paper took knowledge alliance as the research background and began with theoretical framework of knowledge transfer. By combining theory and practice, using the qualitative and quantitative methods, the formation mechanism, measurement of the knowledge distance, and the relationship among knowledge distance, knowledge alliance and the development of enterprise are all studied and discussed.Firstly, based on the related fundamental theories and knowledge classification, the paper stated basic concepts concerning about knowledge distance and some current research methods to lay a good foundation for measurement of knowledge distance in enterprises. Then, the paper deeply analyzed the measurement framework, difficulties and key factors which constituted knowledge distance, knowledge gradients and the probability of knowledge transfer. Furthermore, this paper also made a necessary suppose on the model of knowledge distance measurement, set its variables and constructed a model for knowledge distance measurement. Finally, focused on the empirical research, this paper chose three samples of enterprises in the electronic information alliance and calculated relevant research data and indicators. According to its results, the author made some suggestions to the knowledge distance.
